Extremely Healthy Meditation

Unseen things eternalOur Creator designed us with minds filled with meditation that makes us spiritually, physically, and emotionally healthy. Consequently, the evil one appealed to Eve’s mind in an attempt to inject unhealthy meditation into her. Regrettably, both Eve and Adam succumbed to the type of thoughts detrimental to their health. Since then, the human race has practiced extremely unhealthy meditation that led the human race from the Lord and into lots of suffering. But, there is some really great news!

When the Spirit of Jesus moves into repentant sinners, like us, we become empowered to focus our thoughts on the Lord and his Word. Scripture works with the Spirit of Jesus to release divine power into us to say “no” to thoughts that frighten us, discourage us or appeal to the sinful nature we inherited from Adam and Eve. Truly, “blessed is the man…” whose “delight is in the law of the Lord,” and “he meditates on his law day and night(Psalm 1:1-2). This meditation based on Scripture makes the one who meditates continually in the Word “like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever he does prospers” (Psalm 1:3). So, mental, physical and emotional health is favorably influenced by choosing Bible based meditation.

Please, dear friends, discipline yourself to consistently read Scripture and hearing it taught by Jesus loving ministers of the gospel who cling to the Scripture we call “Bible.”

As we stay filled with the Spirit of Jesus and purposefully and deliberately focus our thoughts on God’s Word, we cannot lose even though every form of unhealthy meditation fills the world in which we live. God appointed you a winner so choose to live like a winner!

  1. Good insight. I always think of “garbage in, garbage out” so I want to put good in and meditate on spiritual principles based on scripture. And, actual scripture!
Have a wonderful and blessed day!
