Three Things You Are!

Holy BibleThe writer of the New Testament book of Jude points out that every believer is three things.

First, you have been called. That is, you did not merely accept Jesus as your Savior; you responded to his call to be his follower.

Secondly, you are loved by God, your heavenly Father. Don’t doubt heavenly Father’s love for you even in all your imperfections. After all, he loved you before you surrendered your life to Jesus. Your imperfections do not disqualify you from being an object of God’s love.

Thirdly, you are kept for Jesus Christ. That is, God stands guard over your life protecting you because he wants to keep you as his own. He assigns angels to guard you day and night. His Holy Spirit fills you with God’s presence. His presence convicts you of sin so you can repent of it, his presence puts love in your heart for God’s righteousness and in that way, he guards you against falling away from the Lord.

Truly, you are a person God called to be his own; you are loved by God’s immeasurable affection and you are guarded by God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. You are really blessed!
