Scriptures that Destroy Worry
Every day we face concerns and obstacles in our lives. We have to remind ourselves to look to God’s Word to help us overcome discouragement. His joy will spring up in us despite everything around us when we meditate on his holy Scriptures. We pray these verses are an encouragement to you!
- God will surely come to your aid. (Genesis 50:24 & 25)
- Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you…The Lord will fight for you. (Exodus 14:13-14)
- Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not panic or be terrified by them. For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. (Deuteronomy 20:3-4)
- Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15)
- I tell you, do not worry about your life….Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (Matthew 6:25-34)
- Make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. (Luke 21:13-15)
- Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6)
- Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
